Polish FM Tells Russia to Buzz Off with its Imperialist Fantasies

Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski has a message for Russia and its pseudo philosopher Alexander Dugin, and it doesn’t look pretty.

While the CNN chose to interview Dugin recently to “better understand his perspective of the world,” Sikorski decided to mention Dugin by his name in his speech at the Polish Sejm as he lambasted Russia for having insecurities regardless of its massive size.

He specifically referred to Dugin’s statement that “Russia is not interested in the existence of an independent Polish state in any form. Nor is it interested in the existence of Ukraine.”

“The Kremlin usually starts with words, and then on the streets appear the kibitkaschekists, and tanks,” he said.

He also made sure to remind the Russians that Moscow doesn’t appear in an any historical records until 1147, making it nothing but a province of Kyivan Rus. Though it later conquered it, it “does not establish Moscow’s right of ownership.”

Likewise, Russia’s “rights to Warsaw” are just as valid as Poland’s right to Smolensk. “We also ruled there for about 100 years. The difference is that hardly anyone here thinks in such an anachronistic way,” he noted, adding “We don’t feel the need to compensate for civilizational insecurities with fantasies of domination over others, because we have other sources of national pride.”

He stressed that he has a message for the patrons of Alexander Dugin:You will never rule here again. Not in Kyiv, not in Riga, not in Tallinn, not in Chișinău. Not enough land for you? You have 11 time zones and still it’s not enough? Focus on governing better what lies within your borders according to international law. Instead of fantasizing about conquering Warsaw again, worry about whether you can hold onto Haishenwai  (the traditional Chinese name for Vladivostok).”

He also said that the way Russia-Ukraine war ends will affect the region’s security level for years, influencing the future of Belarus, Moldova, Georgia and beyond: “As long as Russia does not abandon its conquest plans, it will remain an aggressor.”

“Russian imperialism is our enemy. That is our current policy toward Putin’s regime. There will be no other,” he stated.

EU top diplomat Kaja Kallas rejected the idea of recognising Crimea as part of Russia as Trump continues to suck up to Putin.
