Russia’s Quisling Wants Ukrainian Right Bank

Russia’s quisling and pseudo governor of Kherson Oblast Vladimir Saldo wants more Ukrainian land as part of Russia.
According to ISW, Saldo called for additional Russian territorial claims along the Dnipro River, effectively wanting the entire right bank in the southeastern Ukraine.
This is yet another indicator that Russia isn’t seeking peace in Ukraine, and its demands do not come down to occupying Crimea or Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhya, and Kherson Oblasts.
“Russia continues to make extensive territorial demands of Ukraine while offering no concessions of its own,” ISW writes, adding, “Putin invoked the term “Novorossiya” on April 21 at the “Service” All-Russian Municipal Award Ceremony, claiming that municipal workers are working in very difficult conditions “in the regions of Donbas and Novorossiya.” Saldo’s and Peskov’s statements demonstrate how Russian officials continue to claim that Russia’s pre-war demands are non-negotiable while also making increasingly extensive territorial demands of Ukraine.”
At a minimum, Russia intends to recreate the so-called Novorossiya, an imaginary construct that includes not just the right bank oblasts but also Mykolaiv and Odesa Oblasts. In reality, however, Russia seeks to occupy all of Ukraine for good.
Trump’s “Peace Plan”
Meanwhile, U.S. President has moved heaven and earth to satisfy some of Putin’s demands in a bid to show to his voters three months into his presidency that he’s not “Crooked Joe” and can end wars of aggression just by posting threats on Truth Social together with his team which uses Signal chat to literally chat and send emojis in response to sensitive info.
The latest version of his peace plan, revealed by Axios, envisions the official recognition of Crimea as part of Russia, Ukraine’s NATO membership block, abandoning all sanctions introduced by the U.S. since 2014, and more.
The EU and Ukraine have already made it clear that they will not recognise Crimea as part of Russia, which prompted U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio to cancel the trip to London in a bid to show dissatisfaction with Europe’s inability to disrespect international law.
Instead, U.S. Special Envoy Keith Kellogg is slated to attend to discuss the matters behind the closed doors. It is unclear what this discussion will be about given that gifting Crimea to Russia is Ukraine’s red line. The U.S. is also threatening to abandon the peace talks in Ukraine if Kyiv refuses to submit to its demands.
