Another of Putin’s top generals assassinated in Moscow

High ranking members of Putin’s war machine continue to explode around Russia, as another Russian General, Yaroslav Moskalik, 59, has been assassinated after a car bomb exploded in Balashikha, a suburb of Moscow

According to pro-Kremlin sources, the blast occurred precisely as Moskalik walked past a parked Volkswagen Golf rigged with a homemade explosive device.

Footage of the explosion later surfaced online, confirming the timing and force of the blast.

“The Deputy Chief of the Main Operations Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces was passing by the Volkswagen Golf when it detonated,” one pro-government channel reported. “The explosion threw his body several meters. Initial reports suggest the vehicle — loaded with an IED packed with 6mm shrapnel — was deliberately parked near his residence. The car did not belong to him.”

The same sources now claim Moskalik may have been under surveillance for months. The theory goes that the attackers mapped out his routine — right down to when he entered and exited his building — and positioned the vehicle just days before the explosion.

“Early information points to a remote detonation,” the report continued, “possibly carried out from a nearby balcony. Some speculate the operation mirrored the December 2024 assassination of Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, who was killed by an explosive-laden scooter. In that case, the attackers allegedly installed a hidden camera and streamed the detonation live.”

As of 2021, Moskalik held a senior leadership role in Russia’s General Staff — making him a high-profile figure in the country’s military hierarchy.

So far, Ukraine has not claimed responsibility for the killing — but the message sent by the blast, and its precision, is likely sending shockwaves through the Russian establishment.
